“The Oral Legacies” Exhibition Introduces the History and Relics of Quanzhen Temples Taoist Ritual Music

Presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, organized by the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office, “The Oral Legacies - Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hong Kong Exhibition” has been opened on 24 February 2016 in Sam Tung Uk Museum Exhibition Hall. This exhibition illustrates the history, features and perpetuation of the heritage of “Quanzhen Temples Taoist Ritual Music”. The exhibition displays the god image, ritual texts and instruments of Fung Ying Seen Koon; these help the public to understand the application and operation of the Hong Kong Quanzhen Temples rituals. The Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre was officially opened at the Sam Tung Uk Museum on 18 June 2016. The public who are interested in the "Quanzhen Temples Taoist Ritual Music" and the Hong Kong Intangible Cultural Heritage can visit the exhibition and go to the Centre for information.

Exhibition Period: Opens on 24 February 2016

Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday to Sunday: 10am to 6 pm

                         Christmas Eve and Chinese New Year’s Eve: 10am to 5 pm

                         Closed on Tuesdays (except public holidays) and the first two days of the Chinese New Year
